Struggling to watch The Phantom of the Opera.

It’s not even that it’s necessarily a bad movie.

I mean.

Okay, it’s a bad movie so far lol. I get that it’s a play and an opera of sorts, and it’s got amazing music and vocals, but some of the songs tend to drag on forever and are very repetitive. Not to mention, all of the characters are extraordinarily flat so far, and one of the main characters has to be the stupidest female character I’ve ever experienced. It’s just.

I’m struggling here. lol

Matt's Freakin Tumblr: If anyone is confused about the Season Finale of Doctor Who and Who John Hurt is playing.

And TV Biz can also reveal more details. His character will be a regeneration of the Doctor which he has FORGOTTEN about.

It comes after Christopher Eccleston refused to return for the episode, despite meeting with Moffat a number of times to discuss his role.

A source explained to TV Biz:…

Hmm. While this is very interesting, I’m not sure I like the fact that one of the Doctor’s regenerations is “evil”. The thing with the Doctor, at least thus far, has been that no matter what face he wears, or the personality he boasts, he is always the same. He is always the Doctor, through and through. And to think that one of his regenerations is going to be the “villain” of the next episode is a bit…off-putting. Unless, of course, he’s not the villain, but rather, he’s just made a horrible mistake, I suppose. Maybe this Doctor chose to travel alone.

Like how the Doctor nearly lobotomized that whale until Amy stopped him. Then again, Eccleston’s Doctor couldn’t murder a full Dalek armada and neither could Tennant’s Doctor. I’m kind of sick of Moffat making out the Doctor to be a monster without his companions. The companions bring out the good in him, it’s true, but to say that without them he is complete darkness is an insult to the Doctor’s name.

Also, was the “Introducing John Hurt as THE DOCTOR” really freaking necessary? It pulled me out of the moment almost immediately, and seemed a lot like John Hurt went in going “If I don’t receive a grand entrance with my name shown clearly on the episode, I’m not participating.”

Weaksauce, Moffat.
